LEADERSHIP COUNCIL

In 2008, APTS created the Leadership Council (LC), a key contact network to promote public television's mission on Capitol Hill.  The Council is an interactive forum through which local citizens work together to better tell the story of public television to their Members of Congress. The message Council members carry to their legislators is vital to the successful growth of public broadcasting in the digital age.

The Council also seeks to build meaningful relationships between Council members and their local public television stations. Council members will serve as a volunteer representative of their local station, so the communication between the station and the Council member is critical for success.
